This post is a special one for us because today, we are talking about an app that is the creation of the founder of this website Teja Swaroop.

The Application is called “TR Remote Shutdown”. As the name suggest this application is used to showdown or hibernate any PC using your smartphone, and the best part of this application is that you can do this from anywhere in the world. All you need is any sort of internet access on both your PC and smartphone, you don’t need the smartphone and the PC to be connected to the same LAN or connected via Bluetooth.

Note: TR Remote Shutdown PC has two parts, one for the PC and other for your Smartphone.

The installation process on PC.

Step 1: For the desktop setup, go to our website >  Apps > TR Remote ShutDown.

Step 2: There you will find the download link for the .exe file click on that, this will take you to a MediaFire page, now download the file

Step 3: Locate the .exe file on the PC and double click on that to start the installation process.

Step 4: Now go through the installation process, follow the on-screen instructions.

Step 5: After the installation, you need to exclude this app from firewall and anti-virus system from your PC, because this app is capable of shutting your PC remotely, Firewall and Anti-virus will assume this as malicious software.

Note: This is not at all a malicious software.

Step 6: Now to exclude a file from the firewall. Go to the start menu and search “firewall“, and choose “Windows firewall“.

Step 7: Inside the firewall tab select the option that says “Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall”.

Step 8: Now a new window will pop up, select “change settings”. And now choose “allow another app” option and navigate the app from wherever it is installed, and select the .exe(the app will be installed by default in the C drive > Program files)

Step 9: On Windows 10, we get windows defender in-built. Now go windows defender and select setting from the primary interface. From the configuration window under exclusion, choose the TR remote app from the system folder.

Step 10: You need a Gmail account to proceed. We recommend creating a new one because this is a less secure app. Go to the and create a new Gmail id.

Note: This program will not store your Gmail credentials.

Step 11: Just after you complete the basic installation process, launch the app. Now the program will ask to create a password for security reasons (remember this password. This needs to be used in the android app). Give a password and continue.

Step 12: Now the app will ask you to sign in using your Gmail ID. Use the Gmail ID you created with the correct password. Click login and please wait for a while to complete the connection process. A pop up will come saying successful, click ok and you are done.

The installation process on smartphone.

Step 1: Go to the play store and search for “TR Remote Shutdown PC”. Install it on your phone.

Step 2: Open the app, it will ask to enter the Gmail ID that you used in the desktop app. Enter the ID and click continue.

Step 3: Now you need to enter the password you used at the beginning of desktop app, enter and continue.

Step 4: You will receive various options like shutdown, restart, logoff. Choose any one to execute that action remotely.

Enjoy our app, and please give suggestions to improve it.
